Intellipharmaceutics International Inc. et al

Intellipharmaceutics International Inc. ("IP Int Inc.") and Intellipharmaceutics Corp ("IPC") filed an assignment in bankruptcy on October 31, 2024 and KPMG Inc. was appointed as the trustee-in-bankruptcy (the "Trustee") of the Estates of the Bankrupt by the Official Receiver, subject to affirmation by the creditors of Trustee's appointment or substitution of another Trustee by the creditors.

WEPP provides payment up to a maximum amount for eligible unpaid wages, vacation pay, termination pay and severance pay to former employees of an employer who is bankrupt. The Trustee will be making an application to WEPP on behalf of all former employees of Intellipharmaceutics Corp. The Trustee will mail to all former employees certain additional information regarding WEPP within 45 days of the date of the bankruptcy, being December 15, 2024.

UPDATE: The Trustee has received an extension from WEPP to January 31, 2025.
