Pioneer Balloon Canada Limited

On June 12, 2024, Pioneer Balloon Canada Limited (“Pioneer Balloon" or the "Debtor") filed a Notice of Intention to Make a Proposal ("NOI") under subsection 50.4(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (the "BIA"). KPMG Inc. ("KPMG") consented to act as trustee under the proposal.

On August 2, 2024, Goodlevel Enterprises Canada Ltd. (formerly 1488108 B.C. Ltd.) acquired Pioneer Balloon's right, title and interest in and to the Purchased Assets pursuant to the asset purchase agreement, and as approved by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (In Bankruptcy and Insolvency) pursuant to the Approval and Vesting Order. On August 19, 2024, Pioneer Balloon was deemed to have made an assignment in bankruptcy pursuant to section 50.4(8)(a) of the BIA as Pioneer Balloon failed to file a proposal within the prescribed time period. KPMG was appointed as the trustee-in-bankruptcy (the “Trustee”) of the Estate by the Official Receiver, subject to affirmation by the creditors of Trustee’s appointment or substitution of another Trustee by the creditors.

The First Meeting of Creditors for Pioneer Balloon will be held by video/teleconference on the 5th day of September, 2024 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time. Conferencing details will be made available upon request.
