David Gates
Dave has over 30 years’ experience providing financial statement and regulatory audits, internal control audits, accounting and regulatory advice and due diligence services to a range of clients with across the energy; telecommunications, infrastructure and healthcare sectors.
Dave leads both our Energy Sector Group and Regulatory Centre of Excellence.
He co-authored KPMG's reports “30 voices on 2030 – The future of energy in Aotearoa” and “Financing Investment in New Zealand’s Electricity Networks”.
He has a long history of working on entities with large infrastructure assets that operate in a regulated environment.
Dave’s experience includes time with KPMG Ukraine, two years in the KPMG UK transaction services group working on IPO’s, private fund-raising transactions and other due diligence services and three years at a FTSE / NASDAQ listed entity.
Mair Brooks
Mair has over 20 years’ experience in management consulting, with a wealth of experience in leading, directing and providing insights and assurance around complex infrastructure portfolios and projects. She leads the growing Major Projects Practice to support her clients to deliver large transformational change programs in infrastructure and complex business environments across Government and Corporate sectors from Board level to the front line. Mair has a strong track record of delivering projects across the world.

Laura Youdan
Laura is an Audit Partner based in Auckland. Laura specialises in assurance services including financial and non financial audit, regulatory compliance and other assurance. She has a breadth of experience across agriculture, utilities and manufacturing clients and is skilled at applying the latest techniques in data and analytics to effectively meet her clients needs.
Cameron Hall
Cameron is a Director in our Wellington office. His experience covers a range of sectors including infrastructure and utilities, telecommunications, investment management and manufacturing. As well as leading the delivery of financial statement audits for private and public sector entities, Cameron is experienced in delivery of regulatory assurance engagements. He also assists clients to ready themselves for implementation of new and changing regulatory requirements, and to assess and identify improvements in their internal controls and processes. He spent 2 years in the UK in finance roles in the fast moving consumer goods sector.
