Brent leads KPMG New Zealand’s Audit practice, bringing over 30 years of experience providing financial statement audit, audit of internal control, regulatory audit and non-financial assurance services. As National Managing Partner, he is responsible for shaping the firm’s Audit strategy, driving innovation in assurance services, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and integrity across engagements. He is also a member of KPMG New Zealand’s National Executive Committee, contributing to firm-wide leadership and strategic decision-making.

Brent began his career with KPMG as a graduate in 1994, and spent three years working in London before returning to New Zealand and becoming partner in 2006.

Recognised for his energetic leadership and collaborative approach, Brent works closely with clients across infrastructure, financial services, and the government sector. He supports organisations in navigating complex reporting environments, strengthening governance, and building stakeholder trust.
