KPMG, Microsoft and BBBS Puget Sound
A cornerstone of the relationship with Big Brothers Big Sister of Puget Sound (BBBSPS) is a collaboration between KPMG and Microsoft Elevate that is revolutionizing the way children are matched with mentors through an advanced AI Match Recommendation Engine (AIMRE). Developed by KPMG on the Microsoft Fabric platform, AIMRE significantly reduced matching time, based on BBBSPS’s pilot results and improved the mentor-mentee matching process by providing data-driven recommendations while maintaining the crucial role of human experts.
The pilot program produced stronger, more durable matches and freed staff to focus on supporting relationships between mentors and mentees. The AIMRE model is now being evaluated for broader implementation across the BBBSA network to power improvements that enhance meaningful matches and create brighter futures for the nation’s youth.
