One of the many ways KPMG U.S. supports its people is through its seven employee-led Business Resource Groups (BRGs). These are firmwide multigenerational associations that provide professionals with resources, a safe space to learn and grow, and the opportunity to give back to local communities in a meaningful way.
As part of the firm’s commitment to advancing equity, the KPMG U.S. Foundation recently launched the Voices for Equity Program, unlocking the power of over 17,000 BRG members through community giving. Through this program, each BRG will provide funding to organizations whose mission and work resonates with the interests of KPMG professionals.
Earlier this year, all seven BRGs had the opportunity to nominate nonprofit organizations whose mission elevates the priorities of their group. Members from every BRG then voted on their top three nominated organizations; each BRG selected one to receive a $25,000 grant.
This year, the following organizations received awards:
KPMG BRGs
| Voices for Equity grant recipients |
African Ancestry | College Bound empowers students from disadvantaged backgrounds to complete higher education and enter successful careers. |
Abilities in Motion | National Alliance on Mental Illness educates, supports, advocates, listens and leads to improve the lives of people with mental illness and their loved ones. |
Asian Pacific Islander | Apex for Youth empowers underserved Asian immigrant youth from low-income families to unlock their full potential and a world of possibility. |
KPMG Network of Women (KNOW) | Girls on the Run designs programming that strengthens third- to eighth-grade girls’ social, emotional, physical and behavioral skills and helps them activate their limitless potential. |
pride@kpmg | The Trevor Project works to end suicide among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning young people. |
Somos KPMG | Hispanic Scholarship Fund empowers students and parents with the knowledge and resources to successfully complete a higher education. |
Veterans | Wounded Warrior Project honors and empowers wounded service members and helps improve the lives of these warriors and their families. |
And because the KPMG Network of Women had the highest participation rate, Girls on the Run will receive an additional $10,000 — a total of $185,000 donated to the seven organizations.
As outlined in the firm’s Accelerate 2025 initiative, KPMG U.S. is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion. The Voices for Equity Program is one example of how the firm is striving to make a meaningful difference in local communities through the KPMG U.S. Foundation.
