Providing a networking platform for women in private equity
As evidence of the KPMG commitment to supporting women in private equity, women partners from the KPMG Private Equity Group (PEG) founded the Women in Deals (WinD) networking group to foster a community of professional, deal-focused women in the industry, build relationships, and serve as a resource to each other. The WinD network aims to provide a platform for women in private equity to share insights, best practices, and challenges, as well as to enhance their professional development and career growth.
The WinD network steering committee is chaired by KPMG Private Equity partners Becky Favelyukis and Meredith Guelbert, who are joined internally by women PEG managing directors and externally by senior women deal professionals representing leading private equity firms.
Since it was founded in 2021, the WinD network has hosted more than 15 networking events in various KPMG hubs throughout the U.S., including New York, Boston, Houston, and San Francisco. More than 300 women have attended one or more of these events, which have included networking breakfasts, cocktail hours, mani-pedi sessions, and pickleball outings.
At KPMG, we are committed to providing relationship-building and a wealth of knowledge-sharing opportunities to help women deal professionals accelerate their professional growth.
