Meredith Guelbert
Partner, Private Equity
Meredith serves as a Partner in KPMG’s Private Equity Group where she brings a one firm go-to-market approach to our highly valued Private Equity clients.
She has 16 years of experience across professional services; beginning her career in audit, followed by transaction services, where she performed buy-side due diligence for various PE firms. In her current position as a PE Lead Partner, she manages the build-out and maintenance of key relationships and oversees the team of cross-discipline KPMG professionals around the world serving PE funds and portfolio companies, with a focus on delivering a differentiated, centralized and high touch client experience.
Meredith joined KPMG in September 2005 in the Audit Practice where she primarily focused on Financial Services clients. She then joined the Transaction Services Practice where she performed buy-side due diligence assistance for various private equity clients. She served as a manager in the Financial Due Diligence group and served numerous, premier private equity clients.
Since joining the Private Equity Group, Meredith has supported some of the firm’s largest clients. Meredith provides best-in-class service to her clients by bringing her deep understanding of their activities coupled with her technical accounting expertise in M&A, audit, and a thorough understanding of SEC rules and regulations. She is a licensed CPA in the state of New York and North Carolina and an active member of the AICPA.
Meredith recently chaired an initiative with FCLTGlobal to co-author a piece of thought leadership to set diversity and inclusion standards for external advisors to the Private Equity Industry. She is also co-chair of the newly formed Women in Private Equity group, established to be an information sharing and policy setting forum where PE firms can voice opinions and ideas on issues facing women in PE with the ultimate goal of increasing diversity and inclusion in the industry.
