Webcast overview

This 60-minute IFRS Accounting Standards webcast will provide an update on the US IPO market with a focus on Foreign Private Issuers (FPIs). The session will cover the requirements for FPIs, the process of going public in the United States, current SEC regulatory and comment letter trends, and key IFRS Accounting Standards hot topics for public companies.

Continuing education

There will be one continuing professional education (CPE) credit available to participants who participate in the live webcast and meet the eligibility requirements. The webcast will last approximately one hour.

Paul Dudek is a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins, specializing in cross-border capital market transactions involving non-US companies and sovereigns, as well as related regulatory matters. With 23 years of experience as Chief of the Office of International Corporate Finance at the US Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), Paul has overseen significant rulemaking initiatives and interpretive policies for US public and private offerings, listings, and periodic reporting by foreign private issuers (FPIs) in the US and Rule 144A, Regulation S and other multinational offerings by foreign and domestic issuers.

He has deep experience in SEC registrations from his tenure as Office Chief, having facilitated over 2,000 initial registrations by FPIs and numerous follow-on capital markets transactions. Paul has led various initiatives relating to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and helped to implement rulewriting and other projects under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, the Dodd-Frank Act of 2010 and the JOBS Act of 2012.

Paul holds a JD from New York University School of Law and a BA from Fordham University.
