Angola: Individual income tax code proposal released for public consultation

The Angolan tax authority on April 1, 2025, issued a new individual (personal) income tax code (imposto sobre o rendimento das pessoas singulares (IRPS)) for public consultation. The consultation period will end on April 30, 2025.

This proposal is part of an effort to modernize Angola's tax system, replacing the current model—which includes multiple legislations such as the employment income tax code (CIRT), the capital investment tax code (CIAC), the stamp duty code (CIS), and property tax—with a single tax covering all individual income.
