KPMG Named 2024 Global Google Cloud Partner of the Year for DEI

NEW YORK, APRIL 9, 2024—KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, today announced that it has been named the 2024 Global Google Cloud Partner of the Year for DEI. Building on its commitment to supporting a diverse, inclusive work environment, the award recognizes KPMG’s recent efforts to build a larger and more diverse pipeline of future talent in public accounting and professional services.

Despite the ongoing demand for accounting services among Fortune 1000 companies, small businesses, government entities and not-for-profit organizations, the declining CPA pipeline and increased competition for skilled talent—exacerbated in the wake of a global pandemic—necessitates pursuing innovative approaches to recruit and retain talent with high-quality skills to seize opportunities in the market.

KPMG’s purposeful, measurable approach to addressing this challenge is three-pronged, including deepening relationships with organizations to expand the applicant pool; implementing programs to help current and future talent acquire the skills and credentials to excel; and developing and advancing experienced talent, recognizing that representation matters.

KPMG’s expanded strategic alliance relationship with Google Cloud includes efforts to accelerate the development and deployment of generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology for KPMG's clients and within the firm itself. The firm recently announced the Google Cloud Center of Excellence, which will serve as a hub for KPMG to develop and implement generative AI solutions that address unique challenges faced by clients.
