KPMG Advances AI-Powered Workforce Experiences with Workday and Google Cloud
- KPMG brings Sana from Workday and Gemini Enterprise together in a unified experience that helps employees get answers and complete tasks using natural language
- KPMG’s planned Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) US deployment will help validate and refine AI-powered solutions designed to simplify employee experiences and accelerate workforce transformation
NEW YORK, October 8, 2026 – KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, today announced a new user experience built with Sana from Workday, to help clients improve employee experiences with HR processes. The solution brings together AI capabilities and data from Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise and Workday HCM, reflecting the broader need for organizations to develop an AI experience layer.
This new solution expands on KPMG's earlier work with Workday and Google Cloud, which focused on helping finance teams streamline month-end financial close activities. The latest innovation applies the same collaborative approach to employee self-service experience, including onboarding, extending AI-powered experiences to a new set of enterprise workflows.
“The next phase of enterprise AI is not about adding another tool; it is about creating an intelligent experience layer that connects the systems, data and workflows where work gets done. By bringing Workday Sana and Gemini Enterprise together, we’re helping organizations including our own, give their employees a simpler way to access information, complete tasks and get support, while creating a foundation for broader workforce transformation,” said Brian Anderson, Workday Practice Leader, KPMG LLP.
Bringing AI to the Everyday Employee Experience
Gemini Enterprise and Sana together serve as the firm’s AI experience layer for how work gets done internally, bringing the intelligence and orchestration of Gemini Enterprise together with Workday Sana’s AI experience layer and Workday’s trusted workforce platform.
Rather than navigating multiple systems to find information, access services or complete onboarding activities, employees can engage through a unified experience that allows them to ask questions, receive guidance and take action using natural language.
"New hires often spend their first days navigating systems instead of doing the work they were hired to do. Workday Sana gives employees a single, natural-language way to find answers, complete tasks and engage with workplace services from day one, and paired with KPMG's workforce transformation expertise, organizations can bring that connected onboarding experience to life even faster.,” said Cara Engelbrecht, Global Strategic Partnership Leader, Workday.
"Employees increasingly expect to interact with workplace technology the same way they interact with information in their everyday lives. Gemini Enterprise helps make that possible by enabling natural-language experiences that help employees quickly find answers, understand processes and move work forward," said Kelly Rogan, Vice President of Global System Integrators Partnerships, Google Cloud.
Turning Innovation into Real-World Results
KPMG US is deploying Workday HCM across the firm. The deployment will support KPMG’s workforce transformation strategy, modernize core workforce capabilities and provide the firm with firsthand experience implementing and scaling the same technologies and transformation approaches it helps clients adopt.
Gemini Enterprise serves as the firm’s AI experience layer for how work gets done internally, connecting workplace information, services and workflows through a more intuitive, conversational experience. That makes the collaboration with Workday and Google Cloud especially significant – it brings the intelligence and orchestration of Gemini Enterprise together with Workday’s trusted workforce platform.
Serving as a client-zero environment, KPMG's deployment will allow the firm to test, refine and enhance solutions before bringing them to market, creating a stronger foundation for client transformations.
