Michael Lieb is a seasoned finance and accounting executive with more than two decades of experience across public companies, global professional services, and high growth digital and media businesses. He currently serves as Vice President, Corporate Controller at Peloton Interactive, where he oversees the accounting function at this consumer facing organization.
Prior to Peloton, Michael spent over five years at Shutterstock, most recently as Vice President of Financial Reporting and Accounting Policy, leading US SEC reporting, accounting policy and technical accounting for a global e commerce platform. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Spotify, where he supported global music licensing across more than 60 countries, and at Ernst & Young, where he spent 14 years advising public and private multinational clients across media, entertainment, consumer and industrial sectors.
At EY, Michael developed deep expertise in US GAAP and IFRS, SEC filings, complex transactions, revenue recognition and audit committee communications, while also managing large, multi-stream engagements and prioritized team mentorship.
Michael is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in New York. He holds a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Binghamton University School of Management.
