In my role as the Director of Cybersecurity at KPMG, I am driven by a deep passion for my work. Recently, I embarked on a personal project that has transformed into an innovative solution for our entire cyber practice: an AI-powered cybersecurity mentor bot.

The 2024 KPMG Cybersecurity Survey highlights the prevalence of these pain points, with over 50% of security leaders facing difficulties in threat assessment, perimeter monitoring, alert prioritization, and more. These findings clearly indicate that the cybersecurity landscape is growing more complex, and professionals are seeking AI-powered solutions to augment their capabilities.

Developing the AI Mentor Bot:

To address these challenges, I embarked on the task of distilling the vast knowledge contained in leading cybersecurity frameworks into an intelligent system capable of delivering instant, tailored guidance. I deconstructed these standards into a "knowledge graph," which forms the foundation of the AI mentor bot. This bot has been trained to guide risk assessments, recommend targeted controls, monitor compliance, and more.
