Sweden and the Netherlands signed an income tax treaty, which was published on June 24, 2026, and once in force, will replace the 1991 Sweden-Netherlands income tax treaty.
In addition, Sweden and Cyprus signed a protocol amending their 1988 income tax treaty, incorporating OECD BEPS minimum standards and other bilaterally agreed amendments and addressing implementation issues arising from Sweden’s constitutional challenges to the Multilateral Instrument (MLI).
