Canada: Updated list of imported goods targeted for potential audits

The CBSA's updated audit targets include CPTPP short supply products and 11 tariff classification categories.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) released an updated list of compliance areas that it is targeting for audit investigations, which now includes the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP)’s short supply list of products and 11 specific categories of tariff classification.

Canadian importers of record of goods that are subject to any of the CBSA’s listed compliance priorities must meet all related trade compliance obligations to help with the verification of these imports.
