Legislative update: Senate passes reconciliation package funding immigration enforcement, includes no tax
Includes no tax measures
The U.S. Senate early this morning passed (by a vote of 52-47) a $69.5 billion budget reconciliation package to fund immigration enforcement operations through 2029.
The budget reconciliation package would fund Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection, but nothing else.
The package now moves to the House for consideration. If it passes the House, it will then move to the president for signature.
