United States and Bangladesh sign reciprocal trade agreement
United States has agreed to reduce reciprocal tariffs.
Officials from the United States and Bangladesh today signed the United States–Bangladesh Agreement on Reciprocal Trade. Read the USTR release.
According to a joint statement, key terms of the agreement include Bangladesh providing preferential market access for U.S. industrial and agricultural goods, while the United States will reduce reciprocal tariffs on goods originating from Bangladesh and will identify products to receive a 0% reciprocal tariff rate.
Additionally, the agreement addresses non-tariff barriers, data transfer, labor rights, environmental protection, intellectual property, and anti-corruption measures.
