The Prime Minister on January 18, 2026, announced the availability of 55 lots at Shell Beach with tax- and duty-free concessions to boost local tourism investment.

Starting the week of January 19, 2026, the initiative aims to lower entry barriers for Airbnb-style properties, offering waivers on building materials and fittings to enhance citizen ownership and financial viability in the tourism sector.
