France's Ministry of Finance (DGFiP) postponed the mandatory point of sale (POS) software certification deadline to September 1, 2026, extending the original date to allow certification bodies to process applications and software vendors to update systems for the new anti-fraud measures and upcoming e-invoicing.

Self-certifications remain valid until August 31, 2026, but systems must have started the certification process (e.g., contract signed) by August 31, 2025, to be compliant during this period.
