Anguilla: Implementation of general services tax on broad range of services
Effective August 1, 2025
The Inland Revenue Department on July 31, 2025, announced implementation of the general services tax on various services (including tourism and professional services), effective August 1, 2025.
The general services tax imposes a 13% standard rate on a broad range of services to broaden the tax base, with mandatory registration for certain providers and a threshold of ECD 300,000 for others. Exemptions will apply to certain sectors, including retailers and restaurants, to support local businesses.
The first general services tax return is due on September 30, 2025, with subsequent returns due monthly on the 20th day of each month.
