U.S. BIS renews temporary denial of export privileges for Russian airline
Latest renewal effective immediately for one year
The U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) today released an order renewing the temporary denial of export privileges for a Russian airline. This action is pursuant to Section 766.24 of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), following a request from the Office of Export Enforcement (OEE) submitted on September 9, 2025.
The initial denial order was issued on October 13, 2022, due to repeated violations of the EAR, including operating aircraft subject to the regulations without the required authorization. The order has been renewed multiple times, with the latest renewal effective immediately for one year. The renewal is deemed necessary to prevent imminent violations of the regulations, as the airline has continued to operate aircraft into and within Russia without authorization, in violation of the EAR and previous temporary denial orders.
