Monaco: Protocol with EU amending AEOI agreement signed

The amendments are scheduled to become effective on January 1, 2026.

Monaco on October 13, 2025, signed a protocol with the European Union (EU) amending their automatic exchange of financial account information (AEOI) agreement, in line with the revised common reporting standard (CRS 2.0) introduced by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in 2023.

The protocol amends the terms of the existing AEOI agreement by introducing enhanced obligations for reporting financial account information.

The amendments are scheduled to become effective on January 1, 2026.
