Germany: New mass data interface for CRS reporting
ELMA interface will remain available for CRS reporting until the end of November
The Federal Central Tax Office of Germany (BZSt) in September issued CRS Newsletter 04/2025, announcing the upcoming activation of the new mass data interface (DIP) for the common reporting standard (CRS) process.
The new interface is set to go live in October 2025, replacing the existing electronic mass data transmission (ELMA) interface, which will remain available for CRS reporting until the end of November, after which it will be deactivated. During this transition period, reporting financial institutions can use both DIP and ELMA interfaces concurrently for submitting CRS reports.
