The Executive Branch on June 30, 2025, published Decree 5,145 in extraordinary official gazette No. 6,918, suspending value added tax (VAT) exemptions for various imports due to the economic emergency declared by Decree 5,118.  Effective July 7, 2025, the decree also provides a one-year VAT exemption for certain tangible goods.

The Executive Branch on the same date published Decree 5,146 in extraordinary official gazette No. 6,918, providing VAT and customs duty exemptions—90% exemptions for 1,409 goods imported by the National Public Administration and others, and 100% exemptions for specific ministries and corporations—effective for one year from June 30, 2025.
