Anguilla: Import goods tax replaces GST
Effective August 1, 2025
The Premier of Anguilla on July 7, 2025, announced a repeal of the 13% goods and services tax (GST) at the port, replacing it with a 9% import goods tax and a revised goods tax, effective August 1, 2025. The reform aims to reduce inflation, improve food security, increase purchasing power, and foster economic growth.
Additionally, the public entertainment tax will be repealed to support cultural and tourism sectors, despite an anticipated 21% decrease in tax revenue.
