The Department of Finance on June 13, 2025, announced a value added tax (VAT) exemption for certain medicines treating cancer, diabetes, dialysis, hypertension, high cholesterol, and mental illnesses.
This measure, aligned with the president’s universal healthcare directive, aims to reduce healthcare costs and improve access for Filipinos.
