The White House today released an executive order signed by President Trump subjecting goods imported from Brazil to an additional 40% tariff (for a total tariff rate of 50%), effective August 6, 2025.
Certain goods, including certain silicon metal, pig iron, civil aircraft and parts and components thereof, metallurgical grade alumina, tin ore, wood pulp, precious metals, energy and energy products, and fertilizers, will be exempt. Read the White House fact sheet
