The Prime Minister on December 10, 2024, proposed the following tax-related measures:

  • The Value Added Tax (VAT) (Amendment of Schedule 3) (No. 6) Order, which would introduce VAT exemptions for the tourism sector, was presented.
  • The Land and House Tax (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill, which would extend the moratorium on residential property tax set to expire on December 31, 2025, to December 31, 2026, was tabled in the House of Representatives.
