Isle of Man: VAT law amendments
DIY housebuilder claims, late VAT payments, caravans
The Treasury on December 9, 2024, announced that amendments to the value added tax (VAT) law have come into effect.
The amendments include allowing the Treasury to request further evidence for “do it yourself” (DIY) housebuilder claims, reducing the interest rate for late VAT payments from 7.5% to 7.25%, and allowing certain caravans to benefit from a zero rate of VAT.
