EU: Updated list of non-cooperative tax jurisdictions
No new jurisdictions were added to the list of non-cooperative jurisdictions.
The European Commission (EC) today issued a release announcing that European Union (EU) member states have not made any changes to the list of non-cooperative tax jurisdictions (the so-called “blacklist”), which currently comprises 11 countries (American Samoa, Anguilla, Fiji, Guam, Palau, Panama, Russia, Samoa, Trinidad and Tobago, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Vanuatu).
The update to Annex II (the “grey list”) includes eight jurisdictions (Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, British Virgin Islands, Brunei Darussalam, Eswatini, Seychelles, Türkiye, and Vietnam). Brunei Darussalam was added, and Costa Rica has been removed.
