Including income tax, profit tax, and turnover tax incentives

Share
February 6, 2025

The RA National Assembly on December 4, 2024, adopted laws establishing support and tax incentives for high-tech sector programs.

These laws provide support to commercial organizations and individual entrepreneurs in Armenia's high-tech sector, with a turnover of at least 90% from high-tech activities. The support includes compensation for labor migrants, recruitment of new employees, and training and retraining of personnel, with compensation periods extending until December 31, 2031.

Tax incentives effective from January 1, 2025, include income tax, profit tax, and turnover tax incentives, valid until December 31, 2031. Specific incentives include a 10% income tax rate for wages related to scientific research and development, a turnover tax rate of 1% for high-tech activities, and a profit tax incentive allowing a 200% deduction of salaries for professional work in the high-tech sector. These incentives are subject to conditions such as employee count and income source restrictions.
