U.S. DHS adds 37 China-based companies to UFLPA Entity List due to forced labor
Among entities added are a large supplier of critical minerals and large textile manufacturer
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), on behalf of the Forced Labor Enforcement Task Force (FLETF), today announced the addition of 37 Chinese companies to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) Entity List, increasing the total to 144 entities.
According to today’s DHS release, among entities added are a large supplier of critical minerals and one of the world’s largest textile manufacturers, both linked to forced labor practices in China.
Effective January 15, 2025, U.S. Customs and Border Protection will enforce a rebuttable presumption that goods produced by the specified 37 entities will be banned from entering the United States. Read CSMS # 63743803
