Public Safety Canada in November 2024 issued updated guidance for entities regarding the reporting requirements under the “Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act.”

This guidance is intended to assist organizations in preparing for the reporting deadline on May 31, 2025, although reports prepared using previous versions of the online guidance will be accepted in the 2025 reporting year.

The updated guidance clarifies several aspects of the scope and applicability of the law, as well as the reporting requirements and related processes:

  • Organizations subject to reporting
  • Report content
  • Report format and filing
  • Questionnaire response
