Information reasonably indicates the use of forced labor
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) today issued a “withhold release order” (WRO) against a company in Somalia based on information that reasonably indicates the use of forced labor in the production of frankincense and frankincense-based products.
Therefore, effective November 1, 2024, CBP personnel at all U.S. ports of entry will detain frankincense and frankincense-based products sourced from the company in Somalia.
