U.S. BIS renews temporary denial of export privileges of Russian airline for one year
Based on evidence of repeated and ongoing violations of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
The U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) today released a notice announcing that the temporary denial order (TDO) against a Russian airline has been renewed for another year.
The original TDO was issued in May 2022 and subsequently renewed in November 2022, May 2023, and November 2023.
This renewal, effective immediately, is based on evidence of repeated and ongoing violations of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The airline has been operating aircraft subject to the EAR without the required authorization, including flights into and within Russia. The TDO prohibits participating in any transactions involving items subject to the EAR, except those directly related to safety of flight and authorized by BIS.
