The state tax service (STS) in October 2024 clarified that donations made by residents of innovation technology (IT) parks do not impact their taxable base.

Therefore, a resident of an IT park when determining the taxable income is not required to make certain adjustments on income or on expenses. Thus, the donation made by a resident of an IT park will not have an impact on the unified tax owed. On the other hand, resident taxpayers, other than IT parks residents, can deduct charity and sponsorship expenses up to 5% of their taxable income.
