U.S. BIS publishes second quarterly update of “boycott requester list”
Updated list includes 36 new additions and the removal of 21 entities
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of the U.S. Department of Commerce today published its second quarterly update of the “boycott requester list,” which serves to notify U.S. companies, financial institutions, freight forwarders, individuals, and other U.S. persons about potential sources of boycott-related requests they may encounter during business operations.
According to today’s BIS release, inclusion on the list does not restrict U.S. persons from dealing with these entities but serves as a notice of potential compliance requirements.
The updated list includes 36 new additions and the removal of 21 entities. These changes build on the first quarterly update published in June.
