The Council of Ministers on October 1, 2024, passed a bill increasing excise duty rates on tobacco products, novelty products (heated tobacco products), and electronic cigarette liquids, and is currently working on proposed legislation extending the excise duty regime to novelty devices, such as nicotine pouches, and changing the taxation of reusable and disposable vaporization devices.
