No changes in the tax compliance process have been announced.
The President's Office of Argentina announced the dissolution of the Federal Revenue Agency (AFIP) and the creation of the Customs Control and Collection Agency (ARCA) under Decree 954/2024. This change aims to eliminate inefficient governmental structures and enhance operational efficiency.
The AFIP, which previously managed tax and customs operations, will be replaced by ARCA. The restructuring is expected to generate annual savings of 6.4 billion pesos. The new agency will integrate the functions of the former Dirección General Impositiva (DGI) and Dirección General de Aduanas (DGA), which were part of the AFIP.
The management of ARCA will be led by Florencia Misrahi, with Andrés Gerardo Vázquez taking over as head of the DGI, and José Andrés Velis assuming the role of head of the DGA.
As of now, no changes in the tax compliance process have been announced.
