U.S. BIS renews temporary denial of export privileges of Russian airline for one year
Effective immediately for one year
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of the U.S. Department of Commerce today released a notice renewing the temporary denial of export privileges of a Russian airline.
The renewal is effective immediately for one year because the Russian airline has engaged in a pattern of repeated, ongoing and/or continuous apparent violations of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
The initial denial order was issued on April 7, 2022, and has been renewed multiple times due to the continued unauthorized operations of aircraft subject to EAR. The order restricts the Russian airline from participating in any transactions involving items subject to the EAR, except those directly related to flight safety and authorized by BIS.
