The federal government has initiated a 30-day consultation period to gather feedback from businesses regarding potential surtaxes on certain imported products from China. These products include mineral products, batteries and parts, solar products, and semiconductors.

More than 45 specific tariff classifications are listed for potential surtaxes. The consultation is open for feedback until October 10, 2024.
