Jessica Pegula earns 2025 Bad Homburg Open title
KPMG ambassador wins third singles title of the season and second career title on grass

A grass court tournament title just days before Wimbledon begins? You couldn't draw it up any better.
Jessica Pegula will be heading to London with some serious momentum after taking the Bad Homburg Open final in straight sets over Iga Swiatek (6-4, 7-5) to earn her third singles title of the season. The win is the ninth singles title of Pegula's career and her second on grass.
"It was such a special week," Pegula said of her time in Bad Homburg. "I was having a great time getting to know everybody in the city. I got the last few meals paid for me because people were just in town and were super friendly so it was really nice. I can't wait to be back."
The difference in Saturday's final was Pegula's serve. The top-seeded American held serve in all 11 service games and won more than 70% of her first serve points. Pegula also converted 2 of 5 break chances, one in each set, ultimately paving the way to the tournament title. The win now leaves Pegula as the only player on the WTA this season to have earned tournament titles on all three competitive playing surfaces (Austin - Hard Court, Charleston - Clay Court).
"She (Pegula) has an amazing game, and she showed it throughout the tournament," Swiatek said.
The focus now shifts to London for the third Grand Slam of the 2025 season at Wimbledon. Pegula will hold the No. 3 seed in the women's singles draw and will look to improve on her career-best quarterfinal finish at Wimbledon in 2023.
Congratulations Jess and best of luck in London!
