Alejandro is a Transfer Pricing Principal of KPMG Mexico based in Mexico City. Alejandro started his transfer pricing career in 2008 at a big 4 firm, working on projects in Mexico City and in New York for major multinational corporations. His primary focus was in the financial services sector including insurance companies, banks, asset managers, etc., manufacturing and the pharmaceutical industry.

Before joining KPMG Mexico, Alejandro was the head of the Competent Authority office in Mexico in charge of the Advance Pricing Agreements and Mutual Agreements Procedures related to transfer pricing matters, where he was one of the key negotiators between the Mexican Tax Administration and the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) of the “Qualified Maquila Approach”, which is a systematic transfer pricing methodology that has been applied in solving over 700 APA’s.
