Kevin is a Director in KPMG’s Deal Advisory and Strategy practice experience supporting clients across the M&A lifecycle in a variety of industries with a focus on supporting finance and accounting organizations. Deal experience includes project management, target operating model development, strategic planning, synergy analysis, standalone cost modeling, and operational Day 1 planning during mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Kevin previously worked in KPMG’s Risk Consulting practice focusing on Internal Audit, Regulatory and Compliance services.
Professional and Industry Experience
Integration Management
- Led the finance integration department for a client in the technology sector to oversee end-to-end finance processes (record to report, procure to pay, order to cash, FP&A, tax, treasury, and compliance). Activities included strategic planning, cross-functional coordination, M&A playbook development, and execution of integration initiatives for a portfolio of concurrent transactions varying in size and business models
- Assisted the finance and back-office functional standup efforts for a client in the technology and automotive sector. Support included the planning and design of finance processes, people, and technology to establish Day 1 operations and capabilities
- Project managed the finance and accounting integration across multiple client advisors, executives, and stakeholders for an acquisition in the snack industry, including a mid-month opening balance sheet
- Led cross-functional teams to support the enterprise-wide integration planning and execution of a merger between airport retailers
- Led post-merger workstreams of a professional services firm that included the development of a streamlined process to onboard and retain thousands of clients
- Developed close procedures and optimized financial reporting processes while supporting the finance and accounting integration of a Fortune 500 client’s $528 million acquisition of a European clothing and apparel brand
Separation and Carve-Out Management
- Managed the separation and Day 1 readiness planning for a finance and accounting function during a $900 million divestiture in the pharmaceutical industry. Activities included separation program management, target operating model development, Day 1 readiness planning, and transition service agreement (TSA) development
- Supported finance and legal separation activities for an aerospace and defense company divesting its IT services business
