Kim is a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Philadelphia State and Local Tax Practice. She is a seasoned indirect tax professional with over 12 years of experience in indirect tax consulting, planning, compliance, and audit support. Kim has worked with clients across a variety of industries, including telecom, gaming, retail, and manufacturing, showcasing her versatility and industry knowledge. She is recognized for her expertise in leveraging technology to improve tax processes and compliance.
Professional and Industry Experience:
Kim returned to KPMG in 2025 after several years in industry. She began her career at KPMG in 2013, where she quickly established herself as an innovator in state and local indirect tax. Her roles included developing taxability matrices for complex client products, managing indirect tax audits, and creating automated processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Kim also provided post-acquisition services, including due diligence reviews, voluntary disclosures, registrations, and ongoing compliance procedures.
In 2019, Kim transitioned to industry, serving as State and Local Tax Audit Senior Manager at Comcast Corporation for five years, where she oversaw numerous audits and implemented advanced analytics tools to streamline compliance and reporting. She then spent a year and a half at Clark Associates, a restaurant supply company, where she developed tax compliance and audit procedures, provided indirect tax expertise on construction and contracting projects, and managed all indirect tax controversy matters.
Upon her return to KPMG, Kim has focused on consulting across a variety of indirect tax matters, leading indirect tax recovery efforts, and helping clients navigate complex indirect tax requirements, address indirect tax risks, and implement effective compliance processes.
Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business & Engineering from Drexel University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania.
