Aaron Shafer is a Managing Director in KPMG’s national State and Local Tax (“SALT”) practice based in New York City (“NYC”). His practice focuses on hedge funds, private equity funds, credits funds, alternative funds and other investment enterprises.
Aaron joined KPMG in 2019 after working in the SALT financial services practice at PwC in NYC for 8 years and the international practice in Istanbul, Turkey for 2 years. Prior to working with PwC, Aaron practiced tax law in NYC at small and midsize law firms for 7 years.
