Jesse is a Senior Manager in KPMG’s San Diego International Tax practice.  He has a decade of experience in tax planning and structuring transactions for public and privately held clients.

Professional and industry experience

Provides international tax consulting services to clients across varied industries, including gaming, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, technology, life sciences, and distribution.  Experience in advising on cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, corporate finance transactions, restructuring, private company formations and financing, IP migrations and licensing agreements, U.S. permanent establishment, legal entity rationalization, BEPS strategies, and other strategic international corporate tax planning.  Jesse also has extensive experience with the international provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, including BEAT, FDII, GILTI, 245A DRD, 267A hybrid rules, and 163(j).

Professional experience also includes:

  • Review of legal agreements and documents for U.S. tax purposes and collaboration with U.S. and foreign legal counsel to implement tax planning strategies;
  • Analysis of U.S. income tax treaties and applicability to clients' multinational operations and supply chain structures;
  • Review of legislative changes and analysis of corresponding impacts to clients' organizational structures and international operations;
  • Preparation and filing of Forms 1120, 5471, 8858, and corresponding documents.
