Brian Roberson
Partner, Dept. of Professional Practice
Brian is a partner in the KPMG Department of Professional Practice with over 30 years of accounting and auditing experience. Prior to joining DPP, Brian was a lead engagement partner in the New York and Cincinnati audit practices. When Brian joined KPMG in 2002, he completed two rotations in DPP and was selected for a two-year appointment as a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant at the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Prior to joining KPMG, Brian was a member of Arthur Andersen’s Memphis audit practice.
Brian has substantial experience in serving multi-national companies in a variety of industries. Currently, Brian’s responsibilities include consulting with engagement teams from various industries and offices throughout the Americas on complex accounting and regulatory matters, developing the firm’s professional accounting literature, and developing and presenting technical training for internal and external audiences. Brian is also the retail industry liaison in DPP and serves as the concurring review partner on three retail audit clients.
Brian is the KPMG Campus Executive for the University of Mississippi and on the Advisory Council of the Patterson School of Accountancy at the University of Mississippi. Brian is on the Board and serves as the Treasurer of his country club and is Past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Chapter of the ALS Association.
