Michal Pol

Michal is a Senior Manager in the KPMG Tax Ignition practice, and the Enterprise Innovation group.  He has 18 years of experience in design and delivery of software solutions focusing on innovation and transformation enabled by latest technologies.

In his current role, Michal focuses on Blockchain and Web3 based solutions. He is part of KPMG’s Web3 CoE and his recent work centers on research and development around NFTs and overall firm’s Web3 strategy.

Previously he has served as a leader of KPMG Blockchain initiatives working on developing new business models and new disruptive ways to go to market focusing mainly on enterprise/private blockchain solutions. During this time he has led team of developers and multiple R&D efforts related to smart contract designs which resulted in two official patents granted by USPTO (with third one pending).

Throughout his career, Michal has delivered several enterprise level applications, tax compliance and planning solutions using various technologies and platforms. He has experience in all aspects of SDLC including solution design, development, infrastructure, integration, and deployment. His experience spans many aspects of software engineering from traditional web-based/cloud solutions, databased design, data analytics, intelligent automation, to blockchain based distributed systems.

Michal has also extensive consulting experience working with top fortune 500 companies to assist clients with technology solutions in area of data analytics, workflow and integration solutions for business process optimization and tax transformation. He has delivered various tax compliance, planning tools, portals and analytical dashboards to clients.

Michal holds MS degree in computer science from Montclair State University.
